Clinker thermal panel
is a monolithic composite structure consisting of ceramic or clinker tiles pressed into the insulation by the method of repeated pressing using a one-component polyurethane glue.
The panel contains 5 plastic-embedded elements – slugs – for convenient installation.

Foamed and extruded expanded polystyrene
Foamed expanded polystyrene, of our own production (TM “Royal Facade”), with high density and the addition of flame retardants that prevent the spread of fire.
Extruded expanded polystyrene, manufactured in Ukraine, a moisture-resistant, durable and fairly strong material that contains only inert gases (which also indicates its environmental friendliness). The materials are of high quality and are used both for the domestic market of Ukraine and for the supply of thermal panels abroad.
The production of thermal panels includes the following product line:
- Wall thermal panel of different formats (32 tiles pressed into the insulation with quarter locks along the entire perimeter or only horizontally, with full gluing of the tiles or with partially protruding parts of the tiles behind the insulation slab).
- Corner thermal panel of various formats (8 whole tiles and 8 halves, which are combined in the form of a corner with a tile cut at 45 or 90 degrees, pressed into the insulation with quarter locks along the entire perimeter or only horizontally, with full tile gluing or with partially protruding parts of the tiles behind the insulation slab).
- A slope element consisting of 8 whole tiles, usually based on 30 mm extruded expanded polystyrene.
- Cornice element consisting of 8 whole tiles, based on insulation with a thickness of 30 to 200 mm.
- Wall thermal panel with large-format tiles (2-3 tiles on insulation (depending on the model), pressed into 90% of the surface, with plastic slugs for fixing thermal panels).

Types of thermal panels depending on the shape of the insulation
™ Royal Facade clinker thermal panels are of three types: F, F- and F+. Let’s consider them separately.
F type
Clinker thermal panels with a special quarter lock, which prevents the appearance of cold bridges, have the name of the “F” insulation format. The minimum thickness of these thermal panels is 50 mm for foamed expanded polystyrene (EPS) and 30 mm for extruded one (XPS). The maximum thickness is 200 mm.
Advantages of “F” format thermal panels:
- Attractive cost.
- The tile is almost completely pressed into the insulation (except for the parts that stand behind the insulation, but according to Test Protocol No. 211-323/124/18, the adhesion strength of the tile to the insulation exceeds the norm by 4.7 times).
- Universal format, which is suitable for both insulation and decoration.
- A quarter lock along the perimeter of the thermal panel.
F- type
Clinker thermal panels with a quarter-lock, but horizontally of the “F-” format. The minimum thickness of these thermal panels is 50 mm for foamed expanded polystyrene (EPS) and 30 mm for extruded one (XPS). The maximum thickness is 150 mm. Technologically possible insulation thicknesses: 50 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 150 mm (corners up to 100 mm). Suitable for an already insulated or leveled facade.
Advantages of “F-” format thermal panels:
- Average cost.
- The tile is completely pressed into the insulation and according to Test Protocol No. 211-323/124/18, the adhesion strength of the tile to the insulation exceeds the norm by 4.7 times.
- The installation of thermal panels is facilitated, but due to the presence of locks only horizontally, additional use of foam on the side joints is required.
- Absence of cold bridges horizontally, but their presence is possible on vertical locks (unless additional use of glue-foam is used).
F+ type
Clinker thermal panels with a special quarter lock, which prevents the appearance of cold bridges, as well as 100% complete gluing of the tile, have the name of the “F+” insulation format. According to Test Protocol No. 211-323/124/18, the adhesion strength of the tile to the insulation exceeds the norm by 4.7 times. The minimum thickness of these thermal panels is 80 mm. Technologically possible options of thicknesses are 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 150 mm (EPS and XPS). The maximum thickness is 150 mm. A quarter lock is optimal, as it is available along the entire perimeter of the panel. The thermal panel is a gluing of two equal parts of the insulation, which ensures ideal geometry and the absence of the “arc” effect due to the internal tension of the integral foamed form.
Advantages of “F+” format thermal panels:
- The price is higher than the price of thermal panels of F and F- formats.
- A quarter lock along the entire perimeter protects the facade from the appearance of cold bridges (no additional application of glue-foam on the joints of thermal panels is required).
- Full gluing of tiles over the entire area of the thermal panel.
- Technologically convenient, fast and correct installation.

*Clinker thermal panels are complex structures designed to decorate the facade, and also serve as an insulating material.
Clinker thermal panels perfectly imitate brickwork. Typically, these products use three material options: polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene foam or extruded polystyrene. They differ from each other in production technology.
So, for example, a clinker tile is pressed into the foam plastic to a thermal panel with expanded polystyrene using a one-component polyurethane adhesive. The glue penetrates deeply into the structure of the components and its polymerization is carried out. Due to this, a single structure of increased strength is formed: clinker and insulation.
It is important to note that such a design – 3 in 1 – turns out to be an excellent option for replacing a separate insulation (brick).
*We produce thermal panels according to the European technology of multiple pressing, which is more than 50 years old. We use exclusively European certified raw materials (see our test videos). We carry out quality control at every stage of production.
For example, a manufacturer of polyurethane adhesive guarantees its properties for 35 years.
Clinker tiles, in principle, have no service life, tk. this is a natural material – sintered and pressed clay at a temperature of 2000 degrees! And as you know, clay retains its physical properties for thousands of years …
The service life of clinker thermal panels is more than 50 years.
The specialists of our company will calculate the required insulation (in particular, the thickness) based on the requirements of the legislation. By the way, you can see the formula for calculating the thickness of the insulating layer based on energy efficiency standards in the document THERMAL INSULATION OF BUILDINGS DBN V.2.6-31:2006.
*Thermopanels can be installed at sub-zero temperatures down to -14°C. All-weather installation, both in hot summers and in cold winters, is a distinctive feature of our facade insulation technology, since a special “dry technology” is used.
However, it is not recommended to install clinker thermal panels during precipitation – snow, rain. Grouting is carried out from +5 degrees Celsius. For example, panels can be installed in winter (besides, the price is more affordable in winter), and grouting can be done in spring.

*Based on our experience, the cladding is influenced by several factors at once – the type of construction, the object and the ability of specialists. If installers have no experience with thermal panels, then it will take some time to train them. Therefore, we recommend contacting experienced contractors. On average, a team with installation experience of 2-3 specialists will need a month of work (this is a turnkey solution).
